Memphis Belle Narrowboat

This signwriting design has been taken from the WW2 fighter aircraft the Boeing b-17F Flying Fortress who’s nickname was the Memphis Belle. The owner David a retired RAF pilot, who purchased the narrowboat wanted to create a fitting tribute to his favourite fighter plane known as the Memphis Belle which flew out of Burtonwood Airbase, Lancashire.

The bombs on the bow are known as the mission count and I also made use of the space between the 2 rectangular Windows by painting the U.S air force star and bar.
