This job was a full restoration of a Scania Truck by Wyke commercial service. I am sub contracted on a regular basis to traditionally sign write their old restored trucks that they operate out of the North West of England.
Greenalls Austin K2 Brewery Truck
I hand painted this 1950’s Austin K2 truck which was purchased by Greenalls brewery to help promote there Thomas Dakin gin, the truck is still in it’s original paint and this has lasted very well over the years, so the customer decided to keep the original paint work rather than repainting it and he wanted to stick to their traditional sign writing heritage. The truck is often seen around Greater Manchester, Liverpool and Merseyside. Thomas Dakin was the founder of, as we know it today G & J Greenalls Brewery, which first started in Bridge Street, Warrington in 1761.
This is a 1990’s HGV I signwritten for Wyke Brothers, Rixton who restore commercial vehicles and vintage machinery.
The bike is a ‘Bianchi’ owned by Alfie Crocket and cost over £3000.
Alfie has done many races throughout his life including Sportive Cheshire Peaks Charity Ride which is over 100 miles and has also raced with the great Mark Cavendish. Alfie is aiming to ride the Tour de France one day so look out for this talented athlete. Alfie rides over 140 miles a week so I think it is safe to say Alfie doesn’t like to sit around much, he is often seen around the Wirral and Merseyside.
It was a pleasure to signwrite Alfie’s name on the frame along with the smallest hand painted Union Jack ever!
